On Thursday May 4, 2023, about 9:00 a.m. Officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, Major Crimes Unit, Bicycle Unit and Writ Department conducted a Police operation in the community of Forestierre, Castries.
During the conduct of a search, on the premises of a juvenile at Forestierre, Castries, Officers recovered one pump action shot gun and two rounds of 12-gauge Ammunition. Also recovered during the search were, two 7.62, two 9mm and one .357 spent shells. The juvenile was charged for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
He was bailed in the sum of $20,000 cash or suitable surety for the offence of Possession of Firearm and $5000 cash or suitable surety for the offence of Possession of Ammunition and other court conditions.
Officers also arrested Kareem Louis at Forestierre, Castries, on an Outstanding Bench Warrant from the High Court having absconded for an Indictable Offence.
