Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Development, and the Youth Economy, Philip J. Pierre, says the Government and People of Saint Lucia “highly appreciate the presence and continuing valuable contributions of Sandals Resorts International (SRI) to the island.”

PM Pierre adds, “The location of four Sandals-owned properties here – and  the most outside Jamaica – is also proof of SRI’s confidence in Saint Lucia, which has remained consistent from the opening of Sandals La Toc by Founding Chairman Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart, to the continuing impressive journey led by Executive Chairman Adam Stewart.”

According to the Minister for Finance: “Sandals is the largest employer in the local tourism sector, and as such plays an important role in influencing the socio-economic landscape of our island – a responsibility which must be honoured.”

He says he and his government “look forward to an enduring relationship with SRI which is mutually beneficial to the people of Saint Lucia. It is the legendary hospitality and our skilled service providers, who contribute to the success and expansion of the brand in Saint Lucia.
