CIBC FirstCaribean Supports Educational and Psycho-Social Initiatives

The Bordelais Correctional Facility is the recipient of a 50-inch television from CIBC FirstCaribbean Bank.

The television is to support the institution with its behavior modification and augments resources for educational programs and technical training.Ā  The donation was made on March 22, at the bankā€™s corporate centre.

In expressing the institutionā€™s gratitude for the equipment, Director of Bordelais Correctional Facility Mr. Verne Guard said the facility has to maintain a steady focus on rehabilitation through initiatives that contribute to inmateā€™s psycho-social condition and which provide productive skills to support their re-entry into society.

Throughout the month of March, some nine schools also received financial support and bottled water from the bank towards the staging of school sports meets as well as for the staging of the District Seven sports meet.

All schools expressed their gratitude for affording the students the opportunity to participate in the sporting events and the continued support provided over the years.
