A structural fire in the community of Goodlands has left a family counting their blessings amidst the reality of losing all of their belongings.
According to the Saint Lucia Fire Service, officers responded to reports of a fire in the area at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday (April 19th).
Firefighters found the wooden single-family home fully engulfed in flames and could not prevent the loss of property in the 16×20 foot structure, however, no injuries to the occupants were reported and damage to properties nearby was averted.
It wasn’t immediately clear as to the cause of the blaze and a full investigation into the fire is expected to begin.
