In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, officials from the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and the Saint Lucia Fire Service were summoned to La Pointe in Dennery by residents reporting a shooting.
The emergency call, according to SLFA Communications Officer, Stacy Joseph, came at approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2021.
On arrival, first responders were greeted by a teenager who had sustained gunshot wounds about his body.
The teenage male, according to Joseph, had suffered penetrating wounds to his shoulder and leg. His wounds were treated and he was transported to the St. Jude Hospital in a stable condition.
