An update from the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sharon Belmar-George, brought a welcome confirmation that all tests conducted for Thursday, April 2, 2020, tested negative for the Coronavirus, Covid-19.
The news of the negative results means that the island’s Covid-19 count, remains at thirteen (13). Saint Lucia, recently implemented a full 24-hour lockdown on movement on the island, in an effort to contain the spread of the virus which has penetrated communities.
The Ministry of Health continues to lament the importance of social distancing, washing of hands with antibacterial soap or, using a hand sanitizer, if water isn’t available and staying at home during the 24-hour lock down.
