On Tuesday May 21st, at approximately 11:30 p.m, police officers attached to the Anse La Raye Station responded to a report of a suspicious death at Anse Gallet, Anse La Raye.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered the body of a male, with apparent gunshot wounds to the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner. The individual has been identified as Christopher Hippolyte, originally of Barre Denis, Castries, but residing at Babonneau. Pictures of the lifeless Christopher in shorts and a t-shirt along with pictures of bullet shells which were found on the scene have been circulating on social media.
A post mortem examination for the late Christopher Hippolyte is scheduled for a subsequent date. The events which transpired in relation to this incident are currently unknown. Police investigations into the death of Christopher Hippolyte are underway. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit.
