PRESS RELEASE – ON Thursday January 24th the Get In The Ring (GITR) Advisory Committee Members met with their technical team to discuss the staging of the 2019 GITR St Lucia competition. The meeting discussed the successes and areas of improvement for an even more successful event this year. Subsequent to the meeting the GITR 2019 campaign was launched and the Gribbio event page was opened for registration.
Get in the Ring Foundation introduced a new unique pitching concept in 2011, with Startups getting in the ring battling it out, one on one, during five different rounds. Each round focuses on a relevant topic that all investors are interested in: Team, Achievements, Business Model & Market, Financials & Investment Proposition and Freestyle. GITR is one of the biggest Startup competitions worldwide connecting Startups to fans investors, customers, talent, corporates, and more with over 150 countries participating.
In 2018, host organization of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), The St Lucia Chamber of Commerce, introduced this global competition as one of the Beacon events of (GEW) and received overwhelming support from corporates, startups and the Government.
The Chamber once again proudly presents GITR St Lucia 2019 on March 28th 2019 and invite Innovative and Scalable Startups, launched less than 8 years ago who can pitch fluently in English, to apply to participate in this worldwide startup competition.
The competition is open to all sectors however; preference is for Start Ups that are aiming to make a positive impact in this world.
Start Ups Getting in the Ring will have approximately twenty five (25) seconds to convince the jury on each subject with an additional five (5) minutes to answer questions.
Following the battle rounds the GITR St Lucia National Champion is announced and awarded the coveted prize of an all-expense paid trip to participate in the Global Meet Up In May 2019.
