Retirees to celebrate Association’s 33rd Anniversary at Cultural Centre tomorrow

IN continuation of its 33rd Anniversary activities, the Saint Lucia Association of Retired Persons (SLARP) will hold a grand Variety Show at the National Cultural Centre tomorrow (Sunday, April 8) commencing at 2.00 p.m.

The association’s PRO Alice Stephen, says all activities will be by members and include: singing, dancing, skit, modelling retro fashion and beach wear, international and national wear.

According to the PRO, the Claralights Dance Group from Choiseul will also be there with some retirees involved.

She says a highlight will be the hat parade and members are expected from Dennery, Laborie, Micoud, Choiseul and Castries.

According to Ms Stephens, “A gala time of fun and laughter for all persons is guaranteed at a small fee of $30.00 per ticket or patrons can pay at the door.”

Drinks and eats will be on sale and the PRO says proceeds will go towards a Special Assistance Fund for members.
