Foreign Affairs Minister attended International Women’s Day Event at The British High Commission

PRESS RELEASE – ON 8th March, International Women’s Day, the British High Commission hosted a breakfast event to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women in St Lucia.

The Hon Sarah Flood-Beaubrun, Minister for External Affairs and guest of honour, highlighted many notable examples of how women have contributed immensely to St Lucia’s development, and that maximising the potential of young women is critical to the country’s success in the future.

The Resident British Commissioner said: “Today’s breakfast, in a small way, recognises the immense contribution of women in all walks of life.

“I am grateful to Minister Flood-Beaubrun, who will also attend the Commonwealth Women’s Forum in London next month, for giving us a lot of food for thought in her remarks.”
