PRESS RELEASE – THE Management of St. Lucia Hospitality Industry Workers Cooperative Credit Society Limited and the National Workers Union (NWU) have successfully completed industrial negotiations.
Clerical and technical workers employed with the Credit Society will have $250 added to their salaries with a back pay effective from June 2017.
The implementation of the new wage structure will be done in February 2018 along with other provisions in the industrial accord. Some of these include Training, Uniforms, Overtime, Study Leave, Meal Allowance and Compensation for Additional Responsibilities.
The official signing of the labour contract took place on Thursday at the Department of Labour.
Johann M. Harewood, Portfolio Representative, signed on behalf of the National Workers Union with Jessica Jeffrey signing on behalf of the Cooperative Society.
The agreement will run for a period of three years.
