The four-day tournament, which is sanctioned by the International Netball Federation (INF), runs until Sunday and will be used by the three national federations to provide ranking points for the participating countries.

Presently, Saint Lucia is ranked 18th, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are currently without an INF ranking, while host Grenada is ranked 23rd. The latest list was updated on December 8, 2017 and includes matches up to November 29, 2017.

A rating is a measure of the average performance of a team over a series of matches. Each team earns a certain number of points from each international match. Their rating is the total number of points earned divided by the number of matches played.

The Saint Lucia team has a mix of youth and experience. Shem Maxwell, Judy Mathurin, RomellaHunte, IannaHippolyte, Roxanne Snyder, DeselvaFlorton, Saphia William, Melessia Charles has well over 60 caps among them. The remainder of the squad reads: Sanya Antoine, Joselyn Hubert, and Nerissa Augustin.

Team captain, Shem Maxwell said, “The squad can’t wait to get to Grenada and compete. This is an important fixture for us; we hope to do our country proud with our performances on centre court. I am very honoured to have been chosen to lead this excellent squad during the Tri Series.”

Interestingly, the three participating teams have not competed against each for the last five years and one expects the level of competition in Grenada to be fierce and competitive.

While in Grenada, the team will be under the watchful eyes of Manager Adela Arthur and Head Coach Donnalyn Joseph.
