The annual Business Awards Orientation Workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2016. The workshop is designed to give firms interested in participating in the St. Lucia Business Awards a better understanding of the nomination process.
For the sixth year, the workshop will be facilitated by judges from the Awards’ Panel who will provide guidance to firms interested in making submissions for the Awards in the 14 categories. They will seek to reinforce some of the critical issues and aspects of the rules and regulations guiding submissions.
This year, the Awards Committee emphasizes that the information provided on the application forms is what is critical. The judges intend to emphasize that while supporting documentation is useful, the salient response to the questions on the application form is more impactful and carries the significant weight.
Thus, interested entrants should not be deterred in making submissions as the process is not complicated or expensive. No participant, large or small, should feel obligated to incur additional or exorbitant costs when making a submission through the production of company videos or the like. The forms have been designed so entrants can provide enough relevant information from which the judges can make proper assessments of the business being evaluated.
The Chamber extends this invitation to all firms to attend this worthwhile workshop and emphasizes that membership within the Chamber is not a requirement. The workshop’s objective is to provide guidance to those interested in submitting applications for entry into the prestigious national awards.
All business are encouraged to confirm their attendance by contacting the Chamber Secretariat by October 4, 2016, at telephone number 452 3165 or email [email protected].
