Patrick Huey, Corporate Director for Red Lane® Spa, Fitness and Tennis, the award-winning wellness brand for Sandals Resorts International, has been appointed to the 2016-2017 Board of Directors Slate of Candidates for the International SPA Association (ISPA).
The announcement was made recently shortly after the ISPA Conference & Expo held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Since 1991, ISPA has been recognized worldwide as the professional organization and voice of the spa industry, representing health and wellness facilities and providers in more than 70 countries.
Members encompass the entire arena of the spa experience, from resort/hotel, destination, mineral springs, medical, club and day spas to service providers such as physicians, wellness instructors, nutritionists, massage therapists and product suppliers.
ISPA’s mission is to advance the spa industry by providing invaluable educational and networking opportunities, promoting the value of the spa experience and speaking as the authoritative voice to foster professionalism and growth.
Hailed by ISPA as “forward thinking, passionate, and personable”, Huey assumed his current position with Sandals in 2013. In his role, he is responsible for all facets of brand development, marketing, product development and the newly-launched Red Lane Institute for therapist certification.
As a new member of the Board of Directors, Huey joins a cast of representatives from the finest spas in the United States, including representatives from Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and Mayo Clinic.
Honoured to have been selected, Huey said: “In my appointment to the ISPA Board of Directors, I am humbled and thrilled to be able to represent not only Red Lane Spas, but also the entire Caribbean. With our partnership and representation within this internationally-recognized group, we help further ISPA’s mission to expand into all regions of the globe and have relevance for all spa professionals throughout the world.”
