THE La Clery playing field will be the venue tomorrow when the St. Lucia Rugby Union hosts its local rugby finals from 10:00 a.m.

According to Vonette Victor, Public Relations Officer of the St Lucia Rugby Football Union, the event will also serve as a template for the various clubs – Whiptail Warriors, Mongoose, VBCC Stingers and Sir Arthur Lewis Community College to exhibit their skills and knowledge of rugby.
Come tomorrow a lot will be at stake for the two teams in the finals in the inaugural six team, four clubs inter – club competition played in June. In the women’s division, VBCC Stingers defeated Whiptail Warriors 10 – 5 while in the men’s division it was sweet revenge for Whiptail Warriors as they defeated VBCC Stingers 19 – 10.
The next big outing on the calendar of events for members of the SLRFU will be the weekend of October 1 to 3 when they will play host to a Trinidad and Tobago Rugby team and the Barbados national team.
