185 Odsan Students Get Helping Hand From RBC

RBC Royal Bank this year embarked on a Back to School initiative in an effort to help less fortunate students.

Through its Community Outreach Programme, the bank supported 185 students between the age of 5 and 12 of the Odsan Combined School by providing basic school supplies.

Sandra Fontenelle, Country Head for St. Lucia said: “This Back to School initiative is an example of RBC’s ongoing commitment at helping our clients thrive and communities prosper. It’s at the heart of all that we do. We believe in building prosperity by caring for the communities in which we live and work”.

Fontenelle highlighted the need to assist our children in attaining their educational goals: “We believe that there is a growing need and demand for assistance in the educational sector and we want to be a part of it”.

“RBC continues to support the educational growth and development of our children by finding new and innovative activities,” said Myreen Cenac in the capacity of Community Outreach Champion. “Our last educational initiative was a partnership with local author Mrs. Nadjhla Bailey where we purchased copies of her book ‘Telling Tales’ from Saint Lucia for distribution to schools across the island.”

RBC Royal Bank through its community outreach programme has embarked on several activities to help communities prosper in which the bank operates.
