THE book signing and launch took place at what is known as the Book Yard on the grounds of the Star Publishing Company in Gros Islet.
A small yet appreciative group gathered to hear Chastanet chronicle his life from a boy sailing the coastal waters of Saint Lucia to becoming a leading shipping merchant in the Caribbean and Saint Lucia’s premier businessman.
The book, which was a long time in coming, according to Chastanet is a vivid account of his early life as the ninth child of his parents, his hardships, love for boats and his acumen for business, evidence of which can be seen and felt all over the country.
