THE technical capacity of the St. Lucia Boxing Association is expected to be enhanced following confirmation that two local coaches will undertake an International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) Coach Certification Course in Panama from February 15 to 21..
Conrad Fredericks and Anthony Roy Velinor will be St. Lucia’s nominees for this AIBA 2 Star course in Panama City. It is being hosted by the Panamanian Boxing Federation (PBF) with assistance from the American Boxing Confederation.
Participants would have attained an AIBA 1-Star Coach Certificate, although exceptions may be made by AIBA on a case-by-case basis. The St. Lucia Olympic Committee Incorporated will bear the cost for the attendance of the two St. Lucian coaches.
Classes will be conducted at Salon Topacio Hotel with practical sessions at the Pedro Rockero Alcazar gymnasium, also in Panama City.
