CIBC FirstCaribbean CEO, Rik Parkhill recently paid a visit to St. Lucia during his annual country visits to CIBC FirstCaribbean territories within the region.

The visit served to acquaint the CEO with the bank’s local achievements and operations and to personally engage staff in terms of the strategic vision for the bank. An important outcome of the visit for the CEO was gaining a deeper perspective and insight into the challenges faced by employees in St. Lucia and the opportunities available for the bank on the island.

Exchanges between the CEO and employees took the form of town hall meetings at the branches of CIBC FirstCaribbean where a number of topics were discussed.

Noted Country Manager, Ladesa James-Williams: “It is not every day that employees get to engage in face to face discussions with the CEO and our staff made the best use of the opportunity by providing excellent feedback and recommendations on how we can further enhance the client experience and add value to all our client interactions. The CEO was very impressed by the level of discussion and some of the suggestions put forward will be implemented shortly”.

Other highlights of the visit included discussions with key corporate clients, focusing on identifying the needs of clients and improvements that can be made to ensure service excellence.

During his visit, CEO Parkhill also cited the value placed on customer relationship management and the investment CIBC FirstCaribbean continues to make in that regard.
