Saint Lucian police continue to grapple with gun violence as reports of a late-night shooting in Babonneau was confirmed earlier today.
Emergency personnel at the Babonneau Fire station last night (Thursday 6th January) responded to a distress call in the Paix Bouche community.
A male was found sitting on a step and complaining of abdominal pain by first responders.
The patient had penetrating wounds on his body, according to Stacy Joseph, Media Liaison Officer and Leading Fire Fighter at the Saint Lucia Fire Service. The wounds, she said, were treated and the patient was transported to OKEU Hospital in a stable condition.
