WITHIN the last two months, the St. Lucia Youth Business Trust (SLYBT) has successfully hosted two impactful training sessions as part of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture’s Small Member Support Program (SMSP). The SMSP affords MSMEs the opportunity to build capacity by providing them with valuable information, skills and knowledge, tools and support services. As the Small Member Support Program continues, the SLYBT is pleased to announce the third course in this series, Accounting for Management and Expansion for Small Businesses.
For companies to move from one level to the next, it is essential that they think through their business structure, procedures, and governance and further, just how it impacts the organization as a whole. Accounting for Management and Expansion for Small Businesses will aid in doing just that as it will cover the areas of Human Capital and its Impact on Small Business Success, Importance of a Good Organizational Structure, Concept of Governance, Business Growth Strategy, Importance of Branding for Small Businesses, Impact of Information Technology, Budgeting and Forecasting and Risk Management.
The presenter, Mr. Wayne Daniel is a Certified Public Accountant and a Financial Analyst by profession. His expertise lie in the spheres of Risk Management and Controls, Regulatory Compliance Gap Analysis, Technical Accounting Assessments, Budgeting and Forecasting, Financial and Cost Modelling, Executive Reporting and Project Management. He has twenty years of experience in providing services to small and large organizations including the IMF, Government of Australia and PwC to name a few.
