The OECS Commission and Sir Arthur Lewis Community College recently partnered to host a five star staff reward lunch held last week in honour of the winners of the OECS team building day held at Pigeon Island National Landmark.
Hospitality students from Sir Arthur Lewis College were invited to demonstrate their hospitality skills in a professional restaurant set-up at the Commission. Students were given the opportunity to put into practice their learnt skills with lots of positive feedback from staff as to their professionalism.
Head of Human Resources Gale Jean Baptise said the day was not only about rewarding the winning team but affirmation of the significant contribution all staff were making each and every day, while recognising the upcoming leaders of tomorrow such as those students from Sir Arthur Lewis College.
Both the OECS Commission and Sir Arthur Lewis have reaffirmed their willingness to explore other partnership opportunities going forward to support the skills and training of young people.
