
The Micoud Police have successfully apprehended a suspect in connection with a shooting incident that took place in the southern district approximately four years ago.
On Sunday, May 17, 2026, at around 7:00 p.m., officers from the Micoud Police Station received intelligence regarding the whereabouts of 51-year-old Yvanius Jacob, a resident of New Extension, Micoud.
A warrant for Jacob’s arrest had been issued in January 2023, stemming from a shooting incident that occurred on August 9, 2022. Acting on the information received, officers conducted an operation that led to Jacob’s arrest in New Extension, Micoud.
On Wednesday, May 20, Jacob was formally charged with the offense of Using a Firearm with Intent. He was then escorted before the Second District Court and remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
