
Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to Saint Lucia, H.E. Younes Dirhoussi, officially presented his Letters of Credence to the Deputy to the Governor General, Mr. Felix Finisterre of Saint Lucia, on May 14, 2026.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador Dirhoussi paid a courtesy call to the Prime Minister, Hon. Philip J. Pierre. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation between Saint Lucia and the Kingdom of Morocco.
Only last week the Prime Minister met with the Saudi Arabian ambassador during an official visit to Saint Lucia.
His Excellency Abdullah Muhammad Alsaihani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met with the island’s Prime Minister during an official visit to Saint Lucia, as part of the Ambassador’s regional diplomatic mission. The trip span across seven Caribbean countries under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Caracas, Venezuela.

On May 14, Ambassador Alsaihani held high-level diplomatic discussions with Prime Minister Pierre focused on strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation between Saint Lucia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was expected to reaffirmed the strong and growing relationship between the two countries. Saudi Arabia was instrumental in providing development financing for the reconstruction of St. Jude Hospital.
As part of his official visit to Saint Lucia, Ambassador Alsaihani toured the St. Jude Hospital facility.
The visit seemingly reflected the continued commitment of Saint Lucia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to deepening diplomatic engagement and strengthening cooperation in support of national development priorities.
