On Monday, May 11, officers from the Canaries Police Station went above and beyond to celebrate the remarkable mothers in the Canaries community through a special voucher distribution drive in observance of Mother’s Day.
A spokesperson for the RSLPF stated, “As police officers, we witness daily the sacrifices, strength, and unwavering love that mothers invest in their families and communities. These women work tirelessly to nurture their children, support their households, and contribute to safer neighborhoods. Many selflessly place the needs of others before their own, serving as the backbone of our society.”
Six deserving women from various backgrounds were selected to receive shopping vouchers as a small token of appreciation for their invaluable contributions and positive influence within the community.

The release further expressed gratitude to Massy Stores for their generous donation of shopping vouchers and for their partnership in making this day extra special for these remarkable women.
In addition, the RSLPF commends Superintendent Irvin Alfred, Commander of the Police Marine Unit, for successfully completing the prestigious International Maritime Training Course at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, Virginia. This internationally recognized program focuses on U.S. Coast Guard and government best practices, equipping senior maritime officers with world-class operational knowledge, strategic leadership skills, and best practices in maritime security and emergency response.

Congratulations, Commander Alfred!
