The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) Inter-House Athletics Championships this year was truly a celebration filled with joy for the enthusiastic athletes participating in the event.
Marking 40 years of excellence, the Championships took place at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground (DSCG) in Beausejour, Gros Islet , last Friday.
Ultimately, it was the Francois Falcons who soared to victory, securing the coveted title with a total of 475 points. The team is named after Hunter J. Francois, Saint Lucia’s first Minister for Education and a visionary behind the establishment of SALCC.
Close behind, the Thomas Tigers claimed second place with 472 points, just three points shy of the winners. This team is named in honor of Sir Lenton Thomas, the musical composer of the Saint Lucia National Anthem and the first Principal of SALCC.
