Season’s Greetings, everyone!

I hope you and your family have a safe and healthy holiday season.

It’s almost Christmas Day, and you may be scrambling frantically for a last-minute gift for a friend or colleague, or a loved one. Thankfully, it’s still possible to get them something that is meaningful, inexpensive, and would promote healthy living for the New Year.

It is a bit late to order anything online that will arrive in time for Christmas, but here are a few ideas for inexpensive and practical gifts that you can get locally:

1. Kitchen Garden starter – consider getting a potted herb or vegetable plant. You can decorate it with a ribbon or wrapping paper. This would encourage your giftee to start a kitchen garden and to potentially eat more fresh vegetables.

2. Water bottle – drinking enough water each day is very important for our health, yet many people find it difficult to do so. Giving your giftee a nice water bottle with motivational phrases and water level labels may encourage them to drink more water each day.

3. Gym Membership gift card – This could encourage the giftee to start their physical fitness journey in the New Year at no additional cost. This is especially helpful in Hard-January

4. Dark Chocolate – For those with a sweet tooth, consider gifting dark chocolate. The 60% cocoa or more is ideal. It is a healthier option than milk or white chocolate options

5. Spa day gift card – For the person who works hard all year round and is not very good at taking a break, consider gifting a spa day gift card. This would be especially beneficial for their mental health.

6. Walking/running shoes or Exercise clothing/gear – sometimes getting the outfit together is a powerful motivator for starting exercise. For your friend or loved one that wants to start their fitness journey in the new year, consider gifting them stylish and practical exercise clothing, gear, or shoes.

7. Wireless headphones – for those who like to listen to music while exercising, consider gifting wireless headphones. They come in a variety of sizes and fun colors.

I hope you find this gift-giving tips list helpful. Remember “Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live in.” – Jim Rohn

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
