
The excitement is building as teams prepare for the playoffs in this season’s SLFA Women’s League competition, promoted under the compelling tagline: Let Them Play.
The final round of preliminary matches in the SLFA Inc. concluded on Tuesday at the Canaries Playing Field.
Dennery capped off their campaign with an impressive 4 – 0 victory over Central Castries, demonstrating their superiority with a solid 2 – 0 lead at halftime. The standout goal scorers for Dennery were Joyanne Charles, netting a brace in the 8th and 57th minutes, Marcissa Sealy in the 54th minute, and Ketina Joseph in the 59th minute.
In contrast, Anse La Raye failed to show up for their match against Desruisseaux, allowing Desruisseaux to secure their playoff spot without contest.
As the competition moves forward, the top four teams are set to advance to the playoffs.
Additionally, the fourth round of matches in the second stage of the SLFA Inc. Boys U12 District League, powered by the Ministry of Sports, National Lotteries Authority, and ACADO, recently concluded at the Technical Centre in Grande Riviere, Dennery.

Gros Islet maintained their unbeaten run, confidently defeating Soufriere 2 – 0 with goals scored by Suarez Charles in the 23rd minute and Jahni Auguste in the 46th minute.
In another match, Central Castries and Desruisseaux ended in a goalless draw. Other notable results included Mabouya Valley consolidating their position at the top of the table with a commanding 2 – 0 victory over Vieux Fort South, with goals from Deshawn Leon and Vjay Edwin in the 39th and 60th minutes, respectively.
Roseau Valley showcased their power with a commanding 4 – 0 win against Anse La Raye, fueled by a brace from Jeani Joseph in the 26th and 36th minutes, alongside goals from David Fitz in the 23rd and Yannrell Estaphane.
Finally, Dennery celebrated their first win of the competition with a decisive 3 – 0 victory over Mon Repos, featuring goals from Roshan Henry (9th minute), an own goal by Liam James (14th minute), and a penalty converted by Aiden Biscette in the 23rd minute.
