The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports proudly joins the global community in celebrating International Youth Day 2025 (August ,12) under the powerful theme: “Local Youth Actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond.”
Young people in Saint Lucia are not waiting for the future; they are actively driving change today in crucial sectors.
Through the Saint Lucia Youth Service Corps Programme, National Youth Council initiatives, CARICOM Youth Ambassadors Programme, Youth Development Activities, District and National Youth Awards Ceremonies, National Youth Parliament, Youth Leadership Training, and Summer Youth Programmes, they are transforming bold ideas into impactful actions.
Their contributions—from promoting healthy lifestyles through sport to championing education, environmental protection, and community development—are forging stronger, more resilient communities and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals right here in Saint Lucia.
On this day, the Ministry commends every young Saint Lucian making a significant difference, while stating : “ We are dedicated to providing opportunities, nurturing talent, and empowering youth to shape a brighter future for Saint Lucia.”
