The shareholders of First National Bank of Saint Lucia elected three distinguished professionals to its Board of Directors, strengthening its leadership team with expertise in law, finance, and technology.
Mr. Victor Dexter Ornil Theodore KC, a highly respected attorney-at-law with over 37 years of legal experience, joins the board with extensive knowledge in civil litigation, administrative law, and defamation law. He has served as a magistrate in Saint Lucia, a High Court Judge in Grenada, and has acted as a Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal.
Mr. Derek George, a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCCA) and financial management expert, brings over 25 years of experience in auditing, financial consulting, and organizational restructuring. With a keen analytical approach, he specializes in investment strategies, financial analysis, and fraud detection, and is currently pursuing a designation in forensic accounting.
Dr. Lyndell St Ville, an ICT Consultant with over 20 years of experience and former president of the ICT Association of Saint Lucia, adds valuable expertise in information technology and governance. He has worked in Canada and the United Kingdom and has conducted ICT audits for CARILEC and the University of Guyana. He previously served on the supervisory committee of the Jannou Credit Union, exercising oversight of the credit union’s governance arrangements.
The addition of these accomplished professionals underscores the bank’s commitment to strong governance and strategic growth in an evolving financial landscape.
The new board members replace three outgoing directors who finished their term of office, namely Mr. Richard Monplaisir who did not seek reelection, Mr. Vern Gill and Mr. Robin Schouten.
