Northern and Central Policing Divisions Collaborate to Fight Crime

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) executed an operation in the Northern and Central Divisions. The operation included police officers from the Special Operations Team, Criminal Investigation Unit, Special Services Unit, Bicycle Patrol Unit, as well as personnel from Marigot Bay, Anse La Raye, and Canaries Police Stations, the Traffic Enforcement Team, and the K9 Unit. The operation aimed to dismantle criminal networks, and address public safety concerns on the island.

During the operation, officers executed six search warrants for properties in the following locations:

1) The premises of Kerry Naitrum located in Forestierre, Castries – one (1). A 303 rifle was recovered. After the recovery, Kerry Naitrum and Nicole Vincent were apprehended and charged with possession of a firearm.

2) The premises of Saric Leo, also known as Gwada, located in Corinth, Gros Islet, was found to contain a quantity of cocaine. Saric Leo and Shaunika Charles were apprehended and formally charged with possession of cocaine and possession with intent to supply.

3) A quantity of cannabis resin was recovered from the premises of Lance Hollingseed, located in Bisee, Castries. Hollingseed was apprehended and charged with Possession of Cannabis Resin and Possession with Intent to Supply.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force says it is making notable progress in its efforts to combat violent crimes, especially those associated with firearms. Individuals possessing information about the illegal trade of firearms are urged to share their insights through the police anonymous reporting channels, including the Crime Hotline at 555 or the Crime Hotline App, accessible on the Google Play Store.
