Participants enrolled in the Kidznet Summer Program at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex are continuing to enjoy the experience. The camp is being conducted under the direction of former national netballer and coach attached to the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Alice Lynch.
Youth Development and Sports Officer in the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, Clivus Jules visited the camp on Wednesday, August 21.
“This is the home stretch regarding the camp which ends on Friday, August 23, make sure you enjoy the remaining days to the fullest and come back next year. Hope you had an excellent opportunity to have fun with your peers, visited places of interest, engaged in various sporting activities, and learnt lifelong skills ” Jules told participants.
Speaking on behalf of Kidznet was one of the facilitators, Darnel Pierre.
“The campers were involved in a number of activities such as horse back riding, swimming and other sporting activities and received a presentation on keeping their area and Saint Lucia by extension clean ,” he noted .
Apart from Lynch and her staff participants welcomed several prominent guest speakers from the Fisheries Department, the Ministry of Health, Massy Stores and the Marine Unit (RSLPF).
