The Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment, which is administered by CXC, was administered to Grade Six candidates earlier this week. This examination consists of an Internal and an External Component.
The External Component of the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment was administered to students of Grade Six on Thursday and yesterday at 22 public secondary schools on island.
Two thousand and fifteen candidates from 69 primary schools wrote the examinations.
The External Component comprised Mathematics, Social Studies, Language and Science. Each examination paper contained 50 multiple choice items.

Primary schools are expected to present their scores and samples for the Internal Component of the CPEA by Thursday 19 May, 2023.
