Saint Lucian Zadia James has been selected to the West Indies Women Under-19 Squad for next January’s International Cricket Council (ICC) Under-19 Women’s World Cup.
The St Lucia National Cricket Association [SLNCA] has expressed its “utmost pleasure” with the selection of Zadia James to the West Indies Women’s Under 19 squad for the inaugural ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup.
According to a spokesperson, the SLNCA congratulates and will continue “to support Zadia’s development and also the development of our young aspiring female cricketers to continue to fulfill their cricket dreams”.
The ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup will be held in South Africa from January 15 to 29, 2023.
The full West Indies squad includes:
Ashmini Munisar (Captain), Asabi Callendar, Jahzara Claxton, Naijanni Cumberbatch, Earnisha Fontaine, Jannilea Glasgow, Realanna Grimmond, Trishan Holder, Zadia James, Djenaba Joseph, KD Jazz Mitchell, Shalini Samaroo, Shunelle Sawh, Lena Scott, and Abini St Jean.
West Indies is in Group C alongside Indonesia, Ireland and New Zealand.
