The 2025/2026 cruise season has officially concluded in Saint Lucia. The season began on October 5th , 2025, with the arrival of Celebrity Reflection and ended with the final vessel, Jewel of the Sea, departing Port Castries on April 27th, 2026.
Cruise passenger numbers showed a significant growth of 7.3% with a total of 693,010 passengers welcomed to the island. While the number of calls slightly declined compared to the 2024/2025 season, passenger volumes have continued to rise; this is primarily driven by the increasing size and capacity of cruise vessels calling to Saint Lucia.
As demand for Saint Lucia as a cruise destination continues to grow, Saint Lucia Cruise Port (SLCP) is ensuring that the island remains competitive and delivers a world-class experience for passengers, crew, and the hardworking local population who contribute to the industry’s success.
These efforts were underscored as SLCP participated in Seatrade Cruise Global, the world’s largest cruise industry event from April 13 – 15 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The SLCP delegation, which comprised of General Manager, Lancelot Arnold, Operations Manager
Jahkim Danniel, and Marketing and Communications Manager Racquel Preville, engaged in meaningful discussions with multiple cruise lines, focusing on facility improvements, the planned installation of a breasting dolphin ahead of the 2026/2027 season, the potential extension of the cruise season into the summer months, and ways to enhance the overall cruise tourism product. These discussions also addressed current challenges and mapped a clear path forward, led by Mr. Arnold, to ensure continued growth and improvement in Saint Lucia’s cruise industry.
Mr. Arnold emphasized; “Saint Lucia is positioned to continue experiencing positive growth in our cruise sector. Cruise vessels are becoming larger in both size and capacity, and it is essential that we are fully prepared for this new dynamic. We welcome increased calls and higher passenger volumes, which will drive growth in areas that matter most: the livelihoods of those who depend on this industry.”
SLCP remains committed to maintaining strong relationships and fostering ongoing dialogue with cruise lines and local stakeholders. In May, local cruise sector partners will convene for the annual end-of-season review, which will highlight achievements from the last season and outline strategies to further strengthen Saint Lucia’s premier position ahead of the 2026/2027 cruise season.
