
The Realtors Association of Saint Lucia (RASL) has officially reintroduced itself to the public following the successful hosting of its first Annual General Meeting in approximately eight years. The newly elected Board of Directors installed on May 12, 2026, are tasked with leading the Association into a new era of professionalism, accountability, and industry regulation.
The Association confirmed that it has successfully restored its legal and administrative standing after a lengthy period of dormancy and has now positioned itself to play a leading role in the modernization and regulation of Saint Lucia’s real estate industry.
The newly elected Board of Directors include:

2nd Vice President: Kate Larcher — Rock Cake Real Estate
Secretary: Asnia Ste Marie-Simba — Brown & Co (Caribbean) Ltd.
Assistant Secretary: Vanessa Julien – Sunnystreet Properties Real Estate.
Treasurer: Wilbertha King — WilJosh Ltd.
Ex Officio Member/ Immediate Past President Ag. : Anselm Mathurin — Calabash Condos/Caribbean Real Estate TV
The Association noted that the timing of its reactivation is especially significant given the anticipated implementation of Saint Lucia’s first formal licensing regime for real estate professionals through the proposed Real Estate Brokers and Agents legislation.
According to the Association, the forthcoming legislation represents a major turning point for the industry and is expected to strengthen consumer protection, improve accountability, raise professional standards, and discourage unethical and unqualified operators within the sector.
RASL stated that the Association intends to work closely with Government, regulators, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders to support the successful implementation of the new regulatory framework while advocating for the interests of ethical and properly trained real estate professionals across the island.
The Association also emphasized that professional development, continuous education, public awareness, compliance training, and improved governance standards will form key pillars of its renewed mandate.
The newly elected Board stated in a release that “the real estate sector continues to play a major role in Saint Lucia’s economy and national development. As the industry evolves toward formal regulation and licensing, the importance of a strong, credible, and professional association becomes even more critical. RASL is committed to supporting its members, protecting consumers, and helping to elevate standards throughout the industry. Moreover we intend to educate clients and property owners on the complexity involved in the sales and rental processes with a view establishing greater credibility and confidence in our services.”
RASL is now encouraging real estate professionals island-wide including brokers, agents, developers, property managers, and affiliated professionals to become members and participate in shaping the future of the profession in Saint Lucia.
The Association noted that one of its immediate priorities will be expanding membership and representation to ensure that the organization reflects the broader real estate industry and serves as a unified voice on issues affecting the sector.
Additional priorities include:
Advocacy for improved ease of doing business within the property sector; professional training and certification; industry compliance and anti-money laundering education; mproved engagement with Government and regulators; public awareness campaigns promoting the value of working with trained and ethical real estate professionals.
