The Ministry of Health is issuing a crucial warning about the severe consequences of consuming the latest species of dangerous drugs entering the country.
THe Ministry notes that is imperative that you take this information seriously. If you or someone you know experiences a serious reaction after consuming psychoactive substances such as gummies, cookies, or brownies, you must act immediately.
Dr. Tylor Reynolds-Norbert from the Owen King EU Hospital emphasizes: “If you or someone you know begins to show adverse reactions after using a psychoactive substance, act swiftly. Symptoms like confusion, anxiety, agitation, dizziness, trouble breathing, or loss of consciousness indicate a serious health emergency.”
Do not sit by and wait for symptoms to resolve on their own. Seek emergency care at a hospital or health facility without delay.
The Ministry insists that urgent medical attention is necessary if you observe any of the following symptoms: – Confusion or disorientation
– Severe anxiety or agitation
– Dizziness or trouble breathing
– Loss of consciousness
These symptoms can be life-threatening. Do not hesitate—go to the nearest hospital or health facility immediately.
Protect yourself, your loved ones, and our communities. We must work together to keep Saint Lucia safe.
