The Saint Lucia Hospitality & Tourism Association (SLHTA) congratulated Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre and the Saint Lucia Labour Party on their election victory, saying the outcome reflects a renewed national confidence in the party’s leadership and people-focused vision.

SLHTA CEO Noorani Azeez noted that the results “signal renewed trust in the Prime Minister-Elect’s leadership and the direction in which he has steered this country.”

He said the hospitality sector views the policy agenda with optimism, particularly its emphasis on inclusive development, economic resilience, and opportunities for young people.

Azeez said the SLHTA looks forward to deepening its partnership with the SLP administration to advance tourism competitiveness, strengthen community linkages, and continue building a resilient, people-centred economy.

Over the last political term, the SLHTA has benefitted from meaningful and constructive dialogue with the administration on several critical national priorities—from workforce development and tourism resilience to water security, community tourism, and sustainable investment.

Prime Minister Pierre’s inclusive leadership style has been a key factor in enabling this progress, creating space for honest collaboration between the government, private sector, and civil society.

SLHTA President Erwin Louisy said the victory reflects a shared national aspiration for stability, progress, and opportunity.

“Our sector is ready to collaborate closely with the Prime Minister-Elect as we collectively shape the next chapter of Saint Lucia’s development,” she said.

As Saint Lucia enters a new period of opportunity, the SLHTA reiterates its strong confidence in the leadership of the Prime Minister-Elect and expresses its full readiness to continue building on the successful discussions and initiatives already underway.

The Association remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting sustainable growth, empowering the tourism workforce, and helping craft a prosperous, inclusive future for all Saint Lucians.
