Police Investigates Three Homicides over Festive Season

Law enforcement officers are currently investigating a series of homicide incidents that took place during the festive holiday season, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.

On December 24, two separate incidents occurred in the Palmiste area of Soufriere.

In the first incident, Kenton Henry, 25, from Victoria, Choiseul, was fatally shot. At approximately 1:50 a.m., the Soufriere Police responded to reports of gunfire in Palmiste.

Officers arrived to find Henry in a supine position with multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to the Soufriere Hospital by the Saint Lucia Fire Service’s ambulance, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

Investigations are ongoing, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled for a later date.

Later that same day, another shooting claimed the life of Lintus Charles, 35, also from Palmiste, Soufriere. At around 8:10 p.m., police were dispatched following reports of gunshots in the area.

Upon arrival, officers found Charles in a supine position with apparent gunshot wounds. He was similarly transported to the Soufriere Hospital and pronounced dead by a medical practitioner. Investigations are continuing, and a post-mortem examination is forthcoming.

In addition, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has launched an investigation into a homicide on Church Street, Dennery. The victim, identified as Fernandes Emmanuel, 21, from Green Mountain, Dennery, was reported stabbed on December 28 at approximately 5:23 a.m.

Officers from the Dennery Police Station responded promptly to the scene, where they were informed that the victim was transported to the Owen King European Hospital (OKEU) by ambulance.

Unfortunately, Emmanuel later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff.

Investigations are ongoing, with a post-mortem scheduled for a future date.
