Orbtronics Innovation: Accelerating the Creation of Technology in Saint Lucia and the Wider Region

Now is the time to make a significant impact in the rapidly evolving data technology field, and Orbtronics Ltd. has established itself as a leader, providing exceptional services to both public and private enterprises.

According to Orbtronics Ltd CEO Keeghan Patrick, the company is dedicated to developing the next generation of “technology solutions” and software for government organizations across the Caribbean region.

Since launching in 2020 and incorporating in 2022, “we have consistently doubled our revenue every year for the past three years. We are poised to expand into two additional Caribbean islands next year,” Patrick  said.

To broaden the technological landscape and enhance awareness, the company have initiated a series of STEM Education programs and established a robust STEM education department.

“Our mission is to elevate the youth and cultivate the next generation of engineers on the island,” the young CEO declared.

Additionally, the company manages an active Consultancy Department focused on generating innovative ideas and products for the region.

“Our goal is clear: to accelerate the adoption and creation of technology within Saint Lucia and the wider region,” Patrick asserts.

To further solidify its  presence and expand its operational capabilities, Orbtronics Ltd. will host a groundbreaking Exhibition Event on December 14.

This event will feature industry professionals from the technology sector delivering key presentations and engaging in a panel discussion with experts in the field.

“We are staging the largest Technology Event in Saint Lucia’s history on December 14—the Orbtronics Innovations Gala,” Patrick declared.

This four-hour event, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Sandals Grande, will attract top-tier investors from the United States and professionals from leading companies like Microsoft, Tesla, IBM, and Amazon. It will also provide an invaluable opportunity for various local businesses and start-ups to pitch their ideas to these industry leaders.

Patrick envisions this annual forum as a catalyst for networking and collaboration between large investment firms and innovators from Silicon Valley, home to major tech companies like Facebook, Meta, and Google.

“We aim to foster the cross-pollination of ideas that will lead to the development of cutting-edge technologies within our own ecosystems in Saint Lucia and the Caribbean,” he said.

Currently, Orbtronics Ltd. is running an Incubator Programme with approximately 30 start-ups from Saint Lucia. The top eight to ten entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses to visiting investors during the event.

Patrick notes that at  the core of its  services is a commitment to digital transformation. He said the company focuses  on building software that helps both public and private sectors advance into the digital age.

“Whether we’re developing new AI solutions, designing databases, or enhancing government services, we are dedicated to driving progress,” he added.

Speaking to THE VOICE, Patrick mentioned that the company employs around 10 to 11 staff members, supported by interns and part-time workers.

The team includes Innovation Manager Dinesh Daswan, Head Accountant Alphonso Bell, and La Soleil Media Event Planners Ariana Beaubrun and Alfa Mc Quilkin.

Importantly, through its STEM Education programs and the management of the National Orbtronics Team, the company   have up-scaled over 1,000 students in the last three years, with numerous participants securing internships in electronics.

Additionally, over 40 students have embarked on their university journeys, including at least three scholars attending universities ranked among the top 100 globally.
