CDF Postpones MIZIK: A Legend’s Encore Amid National Events

General Elections at Fault

The Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) has announced the postponement of MIZIK: A Legend’s Encore, originally scheduled for November 29th.

This decision was made following careful consideration and consultations among CDF management, the production team, and key service providers, considering the overlap with major events and the December 1st general elections.

MIZIK: A Legend’s Encore was conceived as a heartfelt musical tribute to several of Saint Lucia’s most beloved and influential artists who have transitioned. The CDF believes that these cultural icons deserve to be celebrated in a setting that allows for full attention, appreciation, and participation of the public.

“Our intention is to ensure that honouring our legends receives the focus and engagement they truly deserve,” noted the CDF’s Executive Director, Raymona Henry-Wynne. “We remain fully committed to hosting MIZIK at a later date when the nation can best come together to honour their legacies.”

The CDF has thanked its partners, sponsors, participating artists, and the families of the honourees for their understanding and continued support. The Cultural Development Foundation says it will advise at the soonest, through various platforms, the new date for MIZIK: A Legend’s Encore.
