Anse La Raye decisively dominated the SPFL Super League (Tier 2) this season, emerging as champions with an impressive 3-0 victory over Vieux Fort North in the finals held on Saturday (November 15) at the Francis “Baba” Lastic Grounds, Gros Islet.

On November 8, due to severe weather conditions highlighted by a lightning storm, the scheduled match at the Soufriere Mini Stadium was postponed.
In Saturday’s thriller , the West Coast-based team showcased their strength from the outset, applying early pressure that was rewarded when Hanson Frederick powerfully struck from outside the box in the 15th minute, securing the lead for Anse La Raye.
They continued to assert their dominance, and in the 64th minute, Sagat Ferdinand delivered a stunning strike, extending the lead to 2-0. Skipper Nangee Philip cemented the victory with a penalty kick in the 88th minute, demonstrating their control throughout the match.
Both teams earned promotion to the Premier League, a significant achievement celebrated by the passionate and loyal fans who supported them.

In a post-match interview, a jubilant Skipper Philip expressed the exhilarating feeling that resonated among the teams and their supporters, celebrating the return of a championship title to his home village after a long wait.
He emphasized his gratitude towards the dedicated traveling supporters and highlighted that the on-field celebrations were just the beginning of the festivities planned for Anse La Raye that night.
Anse La Raye finished the league stage at the top position with an impressive goal difference of 16.
Their path to the final, which included a $30,000 cash prize, featured a narrow 1-0 semifinal victory over Laborie.
Vieux Fort North, having secured third place in their group, made it to the championship match by defeating the Saint Lucia National Under-20 team, who ultimately concluded their campaign in third place after a playoff match.
