On Wednesday, LUCELEC’s Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, Omari Frederick, joined Helen’s Daughters at the official launch of its highly anticipated “Powered Unconference on Agriculture.” The event, which is slated for August 23–24, 2025, at Project Chocolat in Soufrière, promises to bring together farmers, chefs, students, creatives, policymakers, and food lovers from across the Caribbean to reimagine the future of food and farming. Best of all, attendance is completely free.
In his address, Frederick highlighted LUCELEC’s decision to partner with Helen’s Daughters, an independent, non-partisan organization dedicated to empowering women in agriculture to drive sustainable development.

“We believe that energy is more than just electricity,” Frederick shared. “It is the spark that fuels innovation, the current that connects communities, and the power that drives transformation.”
He emphasized that LUCELEC’s support goes beyond sponsorship—it’s a meaningful partnership grounded in shared values. “Our commitment to the agricultural sector is rooted in a shared vision: one where rural resilience, food security, and economic empowerment thrive. Agriculture is part of a broader ecosystem—one that includes energy, technology, education, and enterprise.”

The collaboration underscores LUCELEC’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower communities and promote sustainability. The company’s mantra—Giving you the power to thrive, every day, in every way—echoes the spirit of the Powered Unconference.
As the countdown to August begins, excitement is growing around this unique gathering designed to spark new ideas, partnerships, and pathways for the future of Caribbean agriculture.
