Alhil Cyril claimed the Oliver Gobat Sports National Easter Tennis Championship Men’s Open title on June 2, with an impressive performance at the National Tennis Centre in Beausejour, Gros Islet.
The 14-year-old sensation, seeded No. 2, stepped onto the court with determination, ready to seize his moment.
He faced off against No. 3 seed Ronaldo St. Juste and quickly asserted his dominance, securing a commanding 6-2, 6-3 victory in just 1 hour and 30 minutes, marking his first major final of 2025.
Leading up to the final, Cyril showcased his superiority by overwhelming Ajani Scott with a flawless 6-0, 4-1 performance (before Scott retired), demonstrating that his precision, power, and poise were truly unmatched.
Meanwhile, St. Juste fought hard in the semifinals, overcoming Petersen George in a thrilling three-set battle, but ultimately, he could not match Cyril’s intensity in the final.
