
England won the toss and elected to bat first putting up what was always going to be a monumental task for the West Indies Women. Wicketkeeper and opening batter, Amy Jones, hit 15 4s and a solitary 6 on her way to 122 in 121 balls while Tammy Beaumont also scored a century in a 229 run partnership. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt contributed a half century on their way to 345 for 6.
Captain Hayley Matthews and Afy Fletcher took 2 wickets each.
The West Indies started the run chase fairly well only to see the commencement of a collapse starting with the fall of the captain. Matthews scored 48 off 47 balls smashing 10 4s. Her opening partner, Qiana Joseph topped scored with 62 of 74 ball and featuring 9 4s.
