On Sunday, May 25, 2025 about 8:15 p.m. Police Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, Castries responded to a report of shooting in Bocage, Castries.
Initial inquiries revealed that one male was transported to the Owen King European Hospital (OKEU) via the Saint Lucia Fire Service with apparent gunshot wounds about his body. The victim later succumbed and was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
The deceased has been identified as thirty-five year-old Wayne Mathurin of Bocage, Castries.
