
This week, the Choiseul Comprehensive Secondary School (CCSS) demonstrated their formidable skills, winning three matches as the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Netball Festival reached its third round at the Beausejour Indoor Facility.
CCSS clinched a close victory against Micoud Secondary School (MSS) with a score of 10-8, followed by a decisive win over Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School (VFCSS) at 13-6, and dominated Babonneau Secondary School (BSS) with a score of 4-1.
Two matches ended in draws: the Sports Academy and Saint Joseph’s Convent (SJC) fought to a stalemate at 8-8, while Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School (LHSS) and BSS struggled offensively, ending their game 1-1.
In standout performances, LHSS secured a solid 5-3 win over VFCSS. Second-round leaders Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School (SCSS) maintained their winning streak, decisively beating BSS 5-0.
SJC outperformed LHSS with an impressive 13-3 victory, and Sports Academy made a statement by following up their earlier draw with a dominant 12-1 win against VFCSS.

The Festival features matches played in two eight-minute halves.
The next round of games is set for June 2, where the top four teams from the preliminary rounds will advance to the semi-finals, vying for a place in the finals on the same day.
During the second round action on May 23 at the Beausejour Indoor Facility, Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School (SCSS) showcased their dominance by winning all three of their matches. They defeated CSS 10-5, LHSS 5-2, and the Saint Lucia Sports Academy (SLSA) 5-1.
SLSA also achieved victories, besting Babonneau 3-2 and Micoud Secondary 5-1.
SJC led the second round in goal aggregate with a commanding 15-6 victory over VFCSS.
Micoud Secondary secured a narrow win against LHSS 2-1 before suffering a 6-0 loss to CSS. BSS managed a tight 6-5 win over SJC.
Currently, SCSS sits solidly at the top of the table with 15 points from five matches, followed by Sports Academy with 12 points from five matches, and BSS rounding out the top three with 10 points from four matches.
