The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS), yesterday, announced the launch of a comprehensive Basic First Aid Drive, aimed at empowering citizens with life- saving skills. This initiative underscores the SLFS’ commitment to building a safer and more resilient community.
The programme will commence from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with sessions in:
– Gros- Islet Human Resource Development Center: April 1st to April 3rd, 2025.
– Micoud Multi-Purpose Center: April 8th to April 10th, 2025.
The Fire Service will be extending this vital training to other communities and constituencies across Saint Lucia. Future dates and locations will be announced as the programme progresses.
“Being certified in basic first aid can make the difference between life and death. Whether it’s a family member, friend, or a stranger in need, your knowledge and skills can provide crucial interventions prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. In critical moments, your actions can save a life”, the SLFS said in a press release.

Registration forms are available online via the SLFS’ Facebook page and at all Fire Service.
“We urge all residents to complete and return their registration forms before the commencement of the sessions in the aforementioned Centers,” the SLFS added.
The SLFS encourages all citizens to seize this opportunity to become First Aid certified.
