THE Lightning Aquatics Swim Club is set to host the first meet of the year on tomorrow, Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre (RHAC), starting at 10:00 a.m.
Dubbed the ‘LA Relay Carnival,’ this event, like previous years, promises to be unique. The focus will not be on individual performances but on swimmers strategizing and bonding with their teammates to compete in various relay events.
Tessa Charles-Louis from the Lightning Aquatic Swim Club shared her excitement about the event, saying, “We are excited to be staging the LA Relay Carnival, and we take this opportunity to invite all swim clubs to enter. The one-day event will be fun-filled yet challenging, preparing the island’s competitive swimmers for the upcoming Independence Classic in March and the Carifta Swim Championship in Trinidad and Tobago over the Easter weekend.”
Charles-Louis also encouraged swimming enthusiasts to come out and support some of Saint Lucia’s finest swimmers in action.
