Celebrations for this year’s ‘Independence 46’ will begin as early as next week – with a Baton Relay launch at the Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School.
“Now is a crucial time to reflect on our achievements,” Cabinet Secretary and Co-Chair of the Independence Committee, Agosta Degazon, said.
“This year’s theme, ‘Douvan Ansanm: Health and Wellbeing for a Prosperous Nation’ is … perfect,” he added.
The theme promotes the United Nations’ goal to ensure well-being for all.
“As we celebrate our 46th anniversary… let us make health and well-being a priority. We can start by examining what we eat, changing our diet, and reducing the intake of harmful substances. Exercise should be included in our daily routine,” Degazon noted.
